Plein Air Curaçao: on to PAC 2012 |

On the photo international and local artists posed together for a final group photo as Plein Air Curaçao (PAC) 2011 drew to an end.
Plein Air Curaçao 2011 was a great event, as evidenced by the many positive comments received. As we plan ahead for Plein Air Curaçao 2012 we will take the many suggestions we received into account to make sure PAC 2012 will be even better!

Thomas Kitts Posts PAC 2011 Video Online |

Crazy-man artist Thomas Kitts from Portland, Oregon, was one of the many artists participating in Plein Air Curaçao 2011. He was pretty excited about coming to Curaçao. On his profile page he wrote:
"When I told my best friend (who grew up in Jamaica and sailed the Caribbean extensively as a teenager) that I was thinking about participating in the first ever Plein Air Curaçao he said, 'Thomas, Curaçao is a fantastic place with stunning beaches and colonial architecture.

As we look back to the 2011 edition of Plein Air Curaçao, we can conclude the festival was a success. The artists and spectators had an excellent time. As artist Kirk Larsen said describing his Plein Air Curaçao experience:

U.S. Consul General Hosts Plein Air Curaçao Artists |

United States Consul General Valerie Belon hosted a group of artists participating in Plein Air Curaçao to paint the scenic views of Punda and Otrabanda from her residence patio on Monday, August 29. The group included one artist from Curaçao and a number of artists from the United States.
Plein Air Curaçao is a new art festival on Curaçao.
