Lyn Asselta

Lyn Asselta’s fascination with the natural world has led her to create award-winning pastel landscape paintings for the past ten years.  Her work has been shown in venues across the US and in France.  When she is not in the studio, she participates in plein air events around the South and she teaches classes and workshops for groups around the country.

Lyn is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, a Master’s Circle recipient of the International Association of Pastel Societies, founder, and president of the First Coast Pastel Society and a member of several other arts organizations.  In 2009, she had the honor of being an Artist in Residence for the National Park Service at Acadia National Park in Maine and in 2012 she was the Featured Artist at A Brush With Nature, the plein air event for the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens in Jacksonville, FL. Her home and studio are in the oldest city in the U.S., St. Augustine, Florida.
